Why not say it with a t-shirt?

Reused title: 'Why not say it with a t-shirt?'

Happened to came across this article on The London Paper, which was rather spot on to what I was previously referred to as 'social interaction catalyst' in my post about V&A Fete.

Thought I'd share it with it with OMJ fans.

A bit of wisdom, from a 'reader-coloumist' of The London Paper about the powerfulness of the *humble* t-shirts.

Check it out here.

V&A Village Fete 2008

Aren't you too old to goto a fete Jimmy?

The secrets of eternal youth baby! B)

From V&A site:

French Connection Friday Late Village Fete 2008  was the V&A and Scarlet Projects' contemporary take on the traditional English fete - an extraordinary array of creative, fun, engaging and imaginative events and games by leading as well as up-and-coming designers.

We couldn't make it to Friday (yet another massive party), but was fortunate enough to be in one piece on Saturday morning and to drag myself to V&A.

Lyocell clothing - sustainable & environmentally smiley

Lyocell made with wood pulpYou've seen it on OMyJimmy collection, but what is lyocell exactly??

Have you noticed a few high-end fashion designer using
this rather understated fabric for dresses?  What exactly is it?  Cotton?  Silk?  Polyester?  Or some sort of a blend?

Zero point to you!

Lyocell fiber is made by spinning wood pulp.  It is produced through a close-loop environmentally-friendly process with economical use of energy and water.  It is soft, breathable, lightweight, long-lasting, easy to care for, and is completely biodegradable.

As it means that lyocell garments are extremely comfortable to wear, it feels like your second skin, and magically silky soft to touch!  (Good luck keeping the boys away... ;))

Having won over many fashionistas, lyocell is often used by high-end designers as a better alternative to cotton jersey.

However, printed lyocell garments are rare!

They are rare for a good number of reasons:

Bamboo clothing - sustainable, luxury & wild!

Many have been amazed at the fabric when one received an OMyJimmy purchase, for its soft and lush quality.

Million dollar question for the geeks-at-heart: What's the fuss with bamboo?  really?

Bamboo is a renewable resource and is the fastest-growing woody plant in the world!
