Have you noticed a few high-end fashion designer using this rather understated fabric for dresses? What exactly is it? Cotton? Silk? Polyester? Or some sort of a blend?

Lyocell fiber is made by spinning wood pulp. It is produced through a close-loop environmentally-friendly process with economical use of energy and water. It is soft, breathable, lightweight, long-lasting, easy to care for, and is completely biodegradable.
As it means that lyocell garments are extremely comfortable to wear, it feels like your second skin, and magically silky soft to touch! (Good luck keeping the boys away... ;))
Having won over many fashionistas, lyocell is often used by high-end designers as a better alternative to cotton jersey.
However, printed lyocell garments are rare!
